It has occurred. The Enoch Karpenter Project’s brand new full length album So It Goes has been released and is currently available on the platform or platforms of your choice.
I thought Enoch Karpenter was merely the nom de plume for my solo music project, but as time rolls on I’m realizing he’s altogether different from me.
Enoch is fearless (pfft, more like shameless), and writes better songs (according to him). Nothing really gets to him and he has no real problems in his life (he’s got one, and it’s writing this piece). Kinda hate him for it (but I’m clearly just jealous shut up Enoch no YOU shut up).
Sigh.
Enoch is an Idea Guy. He’s got ideas like offering handmade cassettes for purchase (available at Enoch’s Bandcamp page), but guess who has to carry this task out? Yeah, that’s right… me. Stamping, markering, dubbing, labeling, mailing out – all me. Enoch just sits back and counts his dozens of dollars. Over and over. I can’t even buy myself a coffee with it because he’s saving up for my casket.
He probably drinks too much. Not me, no sir.
Enoch revels in the attention, while I find it excruciating. We probably don’t post enough to social media because every post feels like a cry of, “LOOK AT ME!” and, “I’D SAY I’M A NARCISSIST, BUT THAT’S CONSIDERED A FAULT, OF WHICH I HAVE NONE.” Each post seems to put my faults on full display, inviting endless judgment from strangers all over the world.
Enoch is all, “What, then? Would you rather we don’t release anything? Would you rather just sit on shit for all eternity like some creative Smaug? That’s selfishness! that’s narcissism, you knob.”
I hate it when he calls me that. To top it all off, he’s begun adopting a slight British accent – pretentious ass that he is.
