MKUltra Studios relocates to Puyallup, WA

Still can’t believe it. Sitting here in a big, beautiful, purpose-built control room, peering over the desk through the window into an equally big, beautiful live room. The place looks and sounds amazing – a massive step up from our former digs. 24 channels of audio, 16′ vaulted ceilings, vibe for days. Even with no windows in the studio proper, the big sliding glass doors allow the windows in the entryways to spill gorgeous sunrises and sunsets into the room daily. Hell, we’ve secretly been here since last fall, and there ain’t a time of year that the natural light and pastoral surroundings have been anything but inspiringly gorgeous. Still can’t believe it.

A whole new location calls for a whole new big fat website upgrade to match – mkultrastudios.com has been relaunched with a modern look, a merch store, and all the bells and whistles.

The time has clearly come to make the leap. The ol’ web design day job appears to be winding down with a recent devastating loss of billable hours (and certain unnamed massive municipality that feels perfectly comfortable not paying five years/seven figures worth of bills from a tiny company that can’t shoulder such a burden, but I digress), at the exact same time that this studio is winding up. If that ain’t a wayfinding sign blaring at me (ha! Ilium dad joke!), I don’t know what is. Scary as fuck, but these days if you ain’t scared you probably ain’t doing it right.

Here are a few amateurish attempts at iPhone photography (it’s Current Year, and I’m a trained artist who still can’t snap a good photo like my wife can in her sleep, but whatever).

But yeah! Here we go…
